When should you change it?

Go by the smell. As long as you can still catch it as you bring your wrist closer, the capsule is still working. The day it doesn’t smell of anything, it is time. An opened capsule keeps being used up even when you are not wearing the band: store your spares in their sealed sachet, away from sunlight and heat, and they will be waiting for you next summer.

The colour of the capsules can vary from batch to batch. It makes no difference: once clipped in, the capsule disappears inside the band’s case.
